Tom James |
Tom joined the club in 1997 just a couple of weeks after it was formed after a push from Geoff Bruines , Geoff later became the clubs first chairman when the Norman family finished with the club.
Tom's first job was on the turnstiles, soon to grow into many others like painter, bricklayer, plumber, linesman and groundsman, all of this under the disguise of the "Thursday club" a hide away for people with spare time on their hands.
Tom spends a great deal of time at the club grounds improving the facilities and conditions for players, match officials etc, like Eric Lawton, he puts in a fantastic amount of work and effort behind the scenes.
Chairman of the supporters club for three and a half years, he has helped to raise funds for the club including completing the chairman's walk from the clubs ground in Goole to Flaxley road Selby, he is very outspoken on matters concerning supporters interests, now he rarely travels to first team away matches as he continues to be busy running the reserves and other matches at the ground,
