There has been a lot going on in the last month or so with Paul Marshall losing his job, and Nigel Danby Taking over as Caretaker player-manager.
The performances have been of an upward trend since Nigel took over with the introduction of Benn and Dawson from Bradford park avenue, but the performance dipped again against Bamber Bridge and shows that we still need three or four new players.
The match started off brightly enough with a goal for Watts, which I missed as I was still looking at the team selection board! Never mind. Goole then went to sleep and allowed Bamber Bridge to then score three goals without reply. Most of the team were under performing, which was sickening for the home fans after such a good display mid-week against Blyth by a team made up of a mix of first teamers and youth team members!
With time running out and with a few tactical substitutions things started to look a bit brighter, With goals from Nigel Danby and Steve Davey to bring the scores level.
