Goole AFC is delighted to announce that it has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with EITI, an interpreting and translation company based in nearby Howden.
The contract was officially signed at the club’s open day on 25 July 2004 (see picture above).
The new deal will help the club to develop its community activities, including a youth academy for local children aged between 7 and 12. It will also enable the club, for the first time, to enter a side in the FA Youth Cup for under-18 teams.
Goole AFC Chairman Des O’Hearne said: “This sponsorship deal is great news for the local community. The plans we have for our youth academy will provide wonderful opportunities for youngsters in Goole. And EITI’s backing will help us to achieve our ultimate objective, which is to win promotion into the Football Conference. That would really put Goole on the map.”
EITI Chief Executive Carolyn Burgess said: “We’re proud to have become part of our local football team. This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people who live in and around Goole, particularly young people.”
EITI was formed in 1992. Originally based in Slough, it relocated all its operations to Howden in 2001. The company provides a wide range of interpreting and translation services to organisations throughout the UK, including public authorities, businesses, law firms and charities.
